Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, Cross River State Commissioner for Education, has congratulated the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu and his Deputy, Rt Hon Peter Odey, over the Court of Appeal victory in Lagos, today Wednesday.
In a congratulatory message the Commissioner said,
“the judgement delivered by the Court of Appeal in Lagos, is an affirmation that the rule of law is meant to protect the will of the people in a free and fair electioneering process.”
“As a legal practitioner, having looked at the fact of the case from the onset , I knew that the case was baseless and a waste of time, as the outcome is not a surprise, the Commissioner stated.
Concluding, he emphasised that,
“by this judgement, the appellate court clearly shows that the Governor and his Deputy, were the candidates who the people of Cross River State chose to pilot their affairs for the next four years.”
