President General of Yache Youth Forum, Comr. Daniel Ochayi has congratulated Senator Stephen Odey, Ph.D (Oyorgu1 of Yache Nation) on his new appointment as Chairman, to head the Technical Working Group for the International Conference on Girl Child Education in Nigeria by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
The conference which has the theme, “Girl Child Empowerment through Quality Education” will be held in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child in October 11, 2024. The International Conference is being jointly co-hosted by the NGF and Committee of States’ Commissioners of Education in Nigeria.
The highly elated Ochayi who could not hide his admiration for the astronomic rising profile of the Yache born Cross River State Commissioner for Education because of his outstanding and superlative intellectual acuity said that it is an appointment well deserved considering the qualifications he parades and his ingenuity in handling public matters.
He further stated that this appointment is a confirmation that Senator Stephen Odey is one national figure sought after to set the country on the path of prosperity, adding that personalities like him are needed to change narratives for the better.
President General expressed optimism that Senator Odey being a leadership maestro will prove doubters wrong by providing the Midas Touch that will see to the huge success of the conference as well as seize the opportunity to expand his already proven mettle.
Finally, the Yache Youth number one figure asserted that it is a great national honour for a personality of Yache extraction to serve in that capacity giving that the International Conference will avail critical stakeholders in the education sector the opportunity to commit to Girl Child Education support and funding declaration, launching of the Girl Child Education Volunteers’ Advocate, and unveiling of the Face of the Girl Child Education Ambassadors in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT.
