The Deputy Director General (North) for Cross River State Campaign Council for the 2023 General Elections, Senator Stephen Odey Ph D demonstrated to all that he is fully on ground politically as crowd of his supporters from Yache ward stormed the Ogoja Township Stadium, venue of the Cross River State APC campaign flag-off, to demonstrate their unflinching supports for the APC candidates across board.
Senator Odey, who had earlier accompanied the Governor, Sir Ben Ayade to the ground breaking ceremony of Ogoja Polytechnic and to the consultation with Traditional Rulers, arrived the venue of the campaign amidst
cheers and accolades from party faithfuls and stalwalts.
The supporters held different banners and placards with series of inscriptions; some of which read: “Yache Nation Totally Support APC”, “Yache is Ayadefied”, “Yache Nation is 100% in support of Prof. Ben Ayade for Senate and Senator Prince Bassey Otu for Governor”. Others include: “Yache Nation is APC and APC is Yache Nation”, “Senator Ayade Recover Our Stolen Mandate”, among others.
Meanwhile, from afar, the MCs could be clearly heard lavishing endless encomium on Senator Odey and his prodigious crowd while the DJ did well to provide them with beautifully crafted melodious renditions to match their dancing steps.
Thereafter, the huge crowd from Yache Nation were well received in the Ayeko palacial home of Senator Odey after the flag-off ceremony, and in his characteristic magnanimity he personally made sure that their welfare were well catered for and they all left cheerfully with gratitude to their able leader, the Oyorgu I of Yache Nation.
It should be noted that, Senator Stephen Adi Odey is one politician to beat in Cross River State. His emergence as the political leader of Yache Nation has witnessed a lot of skyrocketing growth in geometric progression. He is indeed the magic wand of the State as his monumental votes is always the deciding factor in most elections in Cross River State in recent times.
Needless to talk about his ingenuity in pace-setting a new political philosophy of giving premium attention to supporters welfare that have given him unparalleled popularity and acceptability. Undermine Senator Odey in any political calculation, only at your peril! He is indeed the man of the people.
